Each year giant icebergs pass by the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. While beautiful to admire, they are a constant reminder of the escalating crisis of the earth's melting polar ice caps. As one of the countries in close proximity to the north, Canada is a silent observer to the slow destruction of the earth's northern glaciers, and the elimination of habitat for numerous animal species.
